This article does not discuss specific quantum computing standards. Instead, it reports on a workshop held May 24–28, 2024, in Poland, organized by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) to advance healthcare technologies. The event focused on practical applications like IoT for monitoring, 3D printing for medical devices, and AI for clinical data.
While the attendee roster included experts in quantum science, the primary goal was to establish an international forum for trustworthy medical innovation. NIST facilitated discussions on data privacy and surgical AI integration, with sessions concluding in lab tours. The workshop aimed to accelerate high-impact advancements in medicine rather than defining new quantum protocols.
