6G4Society hosts first citizen engagement workshop in Rome – 6G4Society

On May 28, 2024, 6G4Society hosted a citizen engagement workshop in Rome to explain the project’s goals and the role of its Citizen Survey in informing the Technology Acceptance Model. The event featured a group activity where students explored the potential societal, regional, and environmental impacts of 6G connectivity, discussing both their hopes and fears regarding the transition from current 5G networks. Data gathered from these discussions and the survey aims to guide European Union policymakers and technology providers toward developing more inclusive and sustainable communication infrastructures.
