Anna Aseeva from partner organization Digital for Planet represented the 6G4Society project at the Pontevedra ESEE-Degrowth 2024 conference, which emphasized integrating sustainability and societal values into next-generation 6G networks. The event highlighted a growing consensus among ecological economists that future 6G systems must prioritize fairness, inclusivity, and environmental well-being over mere performance metrics. To engage the community, 6G4Society promoted its citizen survey and research findings through a dedicated stand and poster gallery, gathering direct feedback from diverse attendees on the requirements for sustainable digital transformation. This participation underscores the project’s commitment to ensuring that 6G development balances socio-ecological needs with economic considerations.
