The 6G4Society consortium is advancing a citizen-centric approach to 6G development by integrating ethical, legal, and social science methodologies to ensure the technology aligns with societal values. Through tools like the Social Acceptance of Technology (SAT) model and Key Values Indicators, the project aims to proactively assess public perceptions and mitigate potential negative impacts of next-generation networks. Recent activities include a citizen survey to gather user insights, a workshop in Rome to engage youth, and presentations at major industry events like the EuCNC & 6G Summit to promote sustainable and inclusive 6G ecosystems. By establishing measurable sustainability and value indicators, the initiative seeks to shift the focus from purely technology-driven development to a model that prioritizes human well-being and social acceptance.
