Finnish Universities Collaborate on a First Extensive 6G White Paper on Large Language Models (LLMs)

The University of Oulu, Aalto University, and the University of Helsinki are collaborating on a white paper to define the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into 6G infrastructure as part of the 6G-Enabled Computing Continuum initiative. The document will address critical technical and societal themes including network security, sustainability, real-time application development, and the ethical implications of embedding LLMs within future networks. Researchers and industry professionals are invited to submit abstracts by January 31, 2024, with the final white paper scheduled for publication at the 6GSymposium in Levi this April. This effort aims to establish a strategic framework for configuring and adapting high numbers of LLMs to radically improve next-generation network capabilities.
