ETSI C-V2X Plugtests event achieves a 93% interoperability success rate – ETSI

A week-long face-to-face interoperability testing event at DEKRA in Klettwitz, Germany, enabled vendors of On-Board Units, Roadside Units, and Public Key Infrastructure to validate their C-V2X implementations against ETSI and 3GPP standards. The outdoor testing sessions successfully assessed critical safety use cases including road hazard signaling, collision risk warnings, and traffic jam alerts across different device form factors. Parallel workshops featured insights from the Federal Highway Research Institute on the Horizon Europe 2050 CCAM Roadmap and commercial presentations from T-Systems and Vodafone regarding 5G edge computing and the Safer Transport for Europe Platform. These collaborative efforts aim to accelerate time to market and ensure the reliable deployment of Intelligent Transport System services to improve road safety globally.
