ETSI first Millimetre Wave Transmission test event achieves 100% interoperability – ETSI

The first ETSI Millimetre Wave Transmission Plugtests successfully demonstrated 100% interoperability among SDN domain controllers from four global operators and seven manufacturers using a standardized Northbound Interface based on the IETF Restconf protocol and YANG data models. By leveraging the ETSI FORGE platform for offline development and testing, participants identified and resolved implementation issues within three weeks, achieving full interoperability in record time. This approach eliminated the need for extensive prior testing between individual controller combinations, resulting in significant cost savings and accelerated market convergence for microwave and millimetre-wave transport applications.
