ETSI NFV ISG has completed Phase 1 and launched Phase 2 with a new working group structure designed to shift focus from requirements to implementation, stability, and interoperability. The initiative aims to grow a robust NFV ecosystem by defining reference points, clarifying intersections with SDN, and establishing rigorous testing and security standards. Technical leadership was updated with Diego Lopez re-elected as Technical Manager and Joan Triay appointed as Assistant Technical Manager to guide the group’s transition. The community celebrated Phase 1 achievements with awards for key contributors and expressed strong momentum toward deploying NFV solutions in 2015.
