ETSI OSM organizes its first fully remote Hackfest with a record number of participants – ETSI

The OSM Hackfest gathered over 100 participants to complete hands-on sessions remotely via ETSI’s HIVE lab, focusing heavily on cloud-native network function support introduced in Release SEVEN. Key technical activities included Kubernetes installation, system monitoring, high-performance autoscaling, and the end-to-end onboarding of a cloud-native Evolved Packet Core. The event also featured an Ecosystem Day where organizations presented production deployments and 5G use cases, demonstrating the project’s robustness toward delivering Release EIGHT. All session recordings and artifacts are now available on the OSM wiki and YouTube channel for the community.
