ETSI releases test specification to comply with world-leading Consumer IoT Security standard – ETSI

ETSI has released the TS 103 701 test specification to harmonize evaluation methodologies for the EN 303 645 IoT cybersecurity standard, accelerating market adoption through certification and labeling schemes. This technical document supports manufacturers and suppliers in verifying compliance for a wide range of consumer devices, including smart cameras, home automation systems, and wearable health trackers, to prevent botnet attacks and DDoS threats. By enabling visual security labels, the initiative helps consumers distinguish between more secure products and less secure ones, reinforcing the global reference standard for IoT device protection.
