ETSI releases two Technical Reports to support US NIST standards for post-quantum cryptography – ETSI

The ETSI CYBER Quantum Safe Cryptography committee has published two new Technical Reports detailing the candidate schemes from the third round of the NIST standardization process. These documents, titled ETSI TR 103 616 for quantum-safe signatures and ETSI TR 103 823 for public key encryption, provide unified and concise descriptions using consistent notation to facilitate easy comparison. Rather than replacing detailed NIST specifications, the reports focus on clarifying security properties, proofs of security, and cryptanalysis through their respective annexes. These resources are designed to help stakeholders in post-quantum cryptography better understand and evaluate the leading candidates for standardization.
