ETSI signs MoUs with Khronos and OARC for Augmented Reality – ETSI

ETSI, OARC, and Khronos are collaborating to establish a global interoperable framework for Augmented Reality by aligning their respective standardization efforts. OARC focuses on open AR Cloud technologies and data standards, while Khronos develops royalty-free specifications for XR platforms and graphics. ETSI’s ISG ARF is defining the necessary components and interfaces to ensure transparent interworking between different AR systems. This joint initiative aims to accelerate the widespread adoption of AR applications through a unified, interoperable information framework.
