Fighting pandemic: special edition of Enjoy! now available – ETSI

Representatives from Estonia, Spain, China, Italy, and Sweden discussed strategies for managing increased bandwidth and cybersecurity challenges during the pandemic. ETSI established a new technical group to ensure interoperability for contact tracing apps while its eHealth group called on standards development organizations to accelerate response efforts. UK and Dutch organizations contributed to public safety and warning systems, and a French company developed a saliva-based COVID-19 diagnostic test. Meanwhile, ETSI’s IT department maintained global communication with delegates and peers through e-Meetings and virtual events.
