6G-VERSUS brings 6G vertical pilots for sustainability

The 6G-VERSUS consortium has officially launched a project to conduct large-scale 6G technology trials across six pilot sites in Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, and Finland, with sustainability serving as a core principle. The initiative brings together 34 partners from ten countries to develop a 6G-enabled application framework that integrates vertical, AI, and network applications for real-world use cases. Specific pilots include AI-driven renewable energy optimization in Bulgaria, collaborative robotics for search and rescue in Greece, and energy self-sustainable 5G base stations in Finland. The project aims to demonstrate the scalability, business models, and sustainability impact of 6G technology to accelerate its adoption in critical vertical industries.
