OSM Release SEVENTEEN introduces full lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters on OpenStack-based private clouds using Cluster API, extending declarative workload management capabilities. The release establishes a public NF catalogue and new tools for creating Kubernetes application blueprints while enabling automatic generation of end-to-end Robot tests for recurring validation. Enhanced features allow users to specify security groups and VIM flavors for Virtualized Deployment Units during instantiation and support the relocation of Kubernetes Deployment Units between nodes for edge scenarios. Additionally, the update includes performance optimizations for Kafka, MongoDB, and Airflow components, alongside new JSONpath output support for intent-based CLI commands.
