ETSI Director-General Jan Ellsbeger reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening its public-private partnership with the European Commission to advance EU digital norms in critical areas such as 6G, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum technologies. The partnership aims to promote the international uptake of European standards through ETSI’s open, transparent model that leverages its dual role as a European Standardisation Organisation and a globally recognized Standards Development Organisation. Executive Vice President Henna Virkkunen emphasized that this collaboration will foster technical alignment and interoperability, ultimately supporting EU policies and enhancing the competitiveness of European businesses in global markets.
