ETSI TeraFlowSDN Winner of the Layer123 Network Transformation ‘Upstart of the Year’ Award – ETSI

The ETSI TeraFlowSDN group, established from the TeraFlow EU-funded research project, has been recognized for developing an open-source cloud-native SDN controller designed for smart transport networks. This toolbox facilitates rapid prototyping and use-case validation, serving as a bridge between ETSI standardization efforts and broader software development communities to accelerate the adoption of transport SDN. Dr. Ricard Vilalta, the group chair, highlighted the award as motivation to continue work on the second release, building on the legacy of ETSI’s first open-source initiative, OpenSourceMANO. The project aims to improve standard quality and promote ETSI specifications among operators and developers alike.
