The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking has selected 28 new research and innovation projects for its Call 2, which will commence on January 1, 2024, joining 35 existing initiatives. Stream B focuses on wireless communication technologies and signal processing, targeting low to medium technology readiness levels for 6G and IoT advancements with specific emphasis on artificial intelligence cooperation with the USA. Stream C establishes a complementary pan-European federated experimental infrastructure to support system enablers and proof-of-concepts, while Stream D prioritizes large-scale trials and pilots for verticals such as automotive and health. Additionally, the 6G4Society coordination action will address societal challenges related to these emerging SNS technologies.
