Opening up to Smart – ETSI

The SNS4SNS event in Sophia Antipolis featured extensive Hackfest sessions where participants experimented with ETSI SDG open source projects like OpenSlice for Network as a Service and TeraFlowSDN for cloud-native SDN controllers. Conference sessions highlighted the synergy between standardization, open source communities, and research initiatives, with keynotes emphasizing EU-level investment to integrate academia and industry R&D into the open standards ecosystem. Demonstrations showcased how code from ETSI SDGs such as OpenCAPIF can implement innovative networking use cases, ultimately paving the way for 6G development through collaborative efforts among network operators, 6G-IA, and standardization bodies.
