ETSI recognized in international Smart City framework – ETSI

ETSI has been recognized by the White House for its participation in an international group developing a Smart City Framework alongside NIST, ANSI, and other global standards bodies. The initiative aims to produce a consensus white paper on Smart City architectures by mapping existing standards to real-world deployments, with a specific focus on ETSI’s oneM2M interoperability specifications for the Internet of Things. oneM2M, a global standards initiative involving eight regional bodies and over 200 member organizations, provides the technical foundation for these architectures and is already widely used in Smart City projects, particularly in Korea. This recognition underscores the value of ETSI’s role in fostering global consensus on IoT standards for applications ranging from smart grids to connected vehicles.
