First ETSI C-V2X interoperability event: success rate of 95% achieved – ETSI

The week-long PlugtestsTM event at Dekra in Malaga enabled vendors to conduct face-to-face interoperability testing for C-V2X devices, validating compliance with ETSI TC ITS and 3GPP standards. Field tests covered critical safety applications including road hazard signaling, road works warnings, and collision risk detection for both longitudinal and intersection scenarios. The parallel ETSI 5GAA joint workshop gathered 65 participants to discuss C-V2X deployment and certification, featuring updates from the European Commission and the Global Certification Forum. Testing involved eight on-board unit manufacturers, four PKI providers, and five test equipment vendors to assess the maturity of the ecosystem.
