ETSI NFV and MEC API 2021 testing event Report now available – ETSI

Over 30 organizations participated in the NFV and MEC API Plugtests, exercising 29 test suites and recording more than 1200 results through a secure ETSI-hosted automation platform. The event highlighted a 6% increase in NFV and a 22% increase in MEC API success rates, alongside the introduction of new VNFM APIs defined in ETSI NFV-SOL002. Key outcomes included the immediate resolution of specification issues, the collection of four findings for industry groups, and the successful migration of legacy descriptors to the standardized SOL006 format. Additionally, an experimental track assessed containerized functions against CNCF cloud-native principles, providing critical conformance data ahead of the scheduled October 2021 interoperability event.
