ETSI’s Zero-touch network Service Management group renewed for two years – ETSI

The ISG ZSM group has grown to nearly 80 organizations and published key specifications on intent-driven networks, AI enablers, and closed-loop automation. The group recently completed five Proofs of Concept that validate the ZSM framework as a foundation for next-generation 6G architectures. Future work will focus on enhancing technical features like functional disaggregation, autonomous management, and network digital twins while prioritizing sustainability. Additionally, the group plans to expand academic collaboration and coordinate with other standards bodies to integrate ZSM proposals into broader industry outcomes.
