ETSI OSM launches Release TWELVE, with enhanced Network Function resiliency and runtime operations – ETSI

ETSI OSM Release TWELVE introduces significant operational improvements, including the ability to upgrade running network function instances with minimal downtime and modify network service compositions at runtime. The release enhances interoperability by supporting ETSI GS NFV-SOL003 for VNF Lifecycle Management, offering both NFV Orchestrator and Generic VNF Manager APIs for flexible Telco Cloud integration. New production features include anti-affinity groups per VNF, password expiry policies, updated Kubernetes cluster registration options, and experimental migration support for Openstack-based instances. As the second Long Term Support release, it guarantees two years of continuous bug fixes and security patches.
