Open Source MANO reaches 60 members, adds Verizon as new operator member – ETSI

The ETSI Open Source MANO (OSM) community has grown to 60 members, including major network operators, to deliver a production-quality open source management and orchestration stack for commercial NFV networks. Following the successful Release Zero and Release ONE code packages, the project demonstrated interoperability at the recent ETSI NFV Plugtests and is now preparing for its third release. At Mobile World Congress, OSM will showcase proofs of concept involving DevOps in service chains, 5G network slices, and integrated VNF verification across various vendor stands. This open source initiative remains closely aligned with ETSI NFV specifications to provide conformant reference implementations that enable vendors to rapidly deploy cost-effective NFV solutions.
