ETSI OSM Release SIX enhances the management of complex services by extending Network Service primitives and expanding its Service Assurance framework to control a wider range of events and conditions. The release adds new connectors for FOG05 Edge clouds, TAPI-based transport networks, VMware vCloud Director 9.5, and public clouds while improving support for multi-segment underlays and EPA attributes. These updates provide operators with finer-grained control over orchestration roles and better real-time feedback to facilitate 5G infrastructure and edge-based compute ecosystems. Additionally, a new white paper has been released to guide VNF vendors through the complete lifecycle of building immutable packages for the OSM ecosystem.
