ETSI/IQC conference: Migrate now to post-quantum cryptography! – ETSI

Hosted by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, the recent high-level conference highlighted the urgent need for governments and commercial entities to upgrade to quantum-safe security platforms to mitigate risks from quantum computers and AI. Presentations covered national quantum policies in Canada, France, the UK, and the EU, while industry providers demonstrated the integration of post-quantum cryptography into managed services and cloud networking. Despite the technology maturing, a critical gap remains in market awareness and the technical education of personnel responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure networks. Experts emphasized that achieving cryptographic resilience now requires strong, interoperable standards to ensure a secure digital future.
