The SNS JU launched Call 3 of its 6G projects in early 2025, with introduction webinars scheduled for February to present initiatives covering system architecture, wireless technologies, and international collaboration. This call is supported by an Annual Work Programme allocating €128 million in EU funding to advance European leadership in Beyond 5G and 6G technologies, with proposal submissions expected by mid-to-late April. Strategic alignment continues through a new reference roadmap figure and impact assessment actions that foster cooperation with cybersecurity and microelectronics stakeholders. Concurrently, the Connecting Europe Facility announced €128 million for 31 new 5G infrastructure projects and €142 million for submarine cable upgrades to ensure resilient digital connectivity.
