The SNS Journal 2025 was released at the EuCNC & 6G Summit in Poznań, highlighting 79 funded projects totaling approximately €500 million that advance Europe’s 5G and 6G leadership in areas like AI-driven intelligence and network resilience. The SNS JU has launched two new calls for proposals in 2025, allocating €104 million for Beyond 5G and 6G research and €24 million for advanced trials in key vertical sectors, with submissions due by September. Major projects such as Hexa-X-II, 6G-SANDBOX, and BeGREEN showcased innovations in energy efficiency, digital twins, and Open RAN architectures through extensive demonstrations and special sessions at the summit. Additionally, the community released new white papers on network management, Key Value Indicators for societal impact, and long-term strategic visions for Horizon Europe Framework Programme 10.
