The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking has released the 5G Strategic Deployment Agenda for Connected and Automated Mobility on Roads to guide stakeholders in deploying 5G connectivity along major European TEN-T corridors. This agenda outlines a strategy to ensure uninterrupted coverage and seamless service provision at border crossings, supporting six key service categories including road CAM services, logistics, and software-defined vehicles. The plan builds on lessons learned from previous CEF Digital-funded projects and aligns with the EU’s Automotive Action Plan to accelerate technological leadership in autonomous mobility. Approved by the SNS JU Governing Board, the agenda provides a roadmap for investment and cooperation models to facilitate the roll-out of these critical digital infrastructure networks.
