The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) has closed its fourth and fifth calls for proposals, which allocated a combined €128 million to advance Beyond 5G and 6G technologies and support advanced trials in key vertical sectors. Stream B and C, opened in May 2025 with €104 million, focused on R&I activities to strengthen Europe’s leadership in next-generation networks, while Stream D, opened in June 2025 with €24 million, targeted the demonstration of 5G/6G applications in specific industries. These initiatives follow previous calls launched in 2022 and 2024, all managed through the EU Funding and Tenders Portal to facilitate the development of future connectivity standards.
