2nd ETSI NFV Plugtests demonstrate high interoperability levels and increased feature support – ETSI

The second ETSI NFV Plugtests event held in Sophia Antipolis achieved interoperability in nearly 95% of executed tests, marking a significant improvement over the previous event’s 65% execution rate. Over 200 engineers from 48 organizations tested 189 multi-vendor interoperability sessions involving 19 Virtualized Network Functions, 10 Management and Orchestration solutions, and 12 NFV platforms. The expanded test plan included 50% more cases to address complex scenarios such as multi-site deployments and enhanced platform awareness, with results to be submitted to the ETSI NFV Industry Specification Group. Active participation from key open source communities like ETSI OSM, Open Baton, OpenStack, and OPNFV further supported the goal of accelerating NFV adoption through real-world validation.
