ETSI and EIT ICT Labs join forces to boost ICT innovation in Europe – ETSI

ETSI and EIT ICT Labs have launched a strategic collaboration to standardize results in key areas including 5G, security, privacy, urban life, and mobility, while also exploring joint research and education initiatives. The partnership leverages ETSI’s broad stakeholder expertise and EIT ICT Labs’ co-location centers to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a robust ICT ecosystem in Europe. A new EIT ICT Labs Satellite facility in Sophia-Antipolis will serve as a primary hub to facilitate this cooperation and accelerate the deployment of large-scale infrastructure solutions. This alliance aims to drive European leadership in ICT innovation by aligning standardization efforts with the development of successful, market-ready technologies.
