The second Indo-European Dialogue on ICT Standards and Emerging Technologies convened in Sophia Antipolis to strengthen collaboration between ETSI and Indian stakeholders, including the Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI). The event highlighted ongoing joint work in 3GPP and oneM2M projects, focusing on critical areas such as Machine to Machine (M2M), Internet of Things (IoT), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), and 5G mobile networks. Discussions also addressed cybersecurity within mobile networks and the strategic benefits of early cooperation for innovation, competitiveness, and the “Make in India” initiative. This dialogue aims to ensure interoperable devices and facilitate exports by aligning European and Indian standards through the support of the Seconded European Standardization Expert for India (SESEI) project.
