Vendors and stakeholders from Europe and the United States successfully conducted the first transatlantic interoperability tests for Next Generation 112 and NG9-1-1 emergency calling systems. The event validated compliance with ETSI TS 103 479 standards by testing critical components such as location-based routing, video, real-time text, and policy-based routing across international borders. Utilizing the HIVE nomad solutions for remote access, participants simulated international roaming scenarios to ensure efficient, interoperable emergency communications for citizens on both continents. This collaborative effort aims to drive the implementation of lifesaving Next Generation technologies and expand technical solutions available to public safety organizations globally.
