ETSI launches first European live trial for Intelligent Transport Systems – ETSI

ETSI, in collaboration with partners including ERTICO and the Livorno Port Authority, will conduct real-world interoperability testing of ITS G5 radio equipment and Release 1 standards from November 7 to 17 in Livorno, Italy. The testbed, headquartered at the cruise terminal, features a 10-minute highway drive on the Livorno-Florence route and an IoT sensor network to validate applications like road hazard signaling and intersection collision warnings. This event allows solution providers from Asia, Europe, and North America to connect their equipment to the infrastructure and demonstrate the convergence of Intelligent Transport Systems with Internet of Things technologies.
