ETSI Mission Critical testing event reports a 96% success rate – ETSI

Over 1200 use cases were executed at the 7th MCX Plugtests in Sophia Antipolis, achieving a 96.0% interoperability success rate for 3GPP Release-17 mission critical services across 4G and 5G networks. The testing validated seamless access for MCPTT, MCData, and MCVideo applications while covering railways features, ETSI TETRA interworking, IMS, and eMBMS components. Additional test scenarios were incorporated to update the future version of the ETSI TS 103 564 specification, with results demonstrating robust vendor interoperability. The event, organized by ETSI with European Commission support, included an observer program and sets the stage for upcoming FRMCS and MCX Plugtests in 2023.
