ETSI OSM launches Release THIRTEEN with a new scalable architecture for massive closed-loop operations – ETSI

OSM Release THIRTEEN introduces a scalable service assurance architecture leveraging cloud-native Apache Airflow and Prometheus to support auto-healing and auto-scaling in large clouds and edge sites. The release enhances day-2 operations through improved Execution Environments with secured communication channels and upgraded helm-based capabilities, alongside new Network Service deployment features like persistent volumes and automatic WIM selection. Internal lifecycle management has evolved to adopt Saga-based workflow patterns and integrates LCM-RO communication via Kafka, while the community installer now auto-detects web proxies and automates charm publication. Additionally, the OSM client has been refactored with better telemetry registration and expanded support for Windows and Red Hat Linux distributions.
