ETSI OSM reaches its 100th member and gets ready for 5G – ETSI

ETSI Open Source MANO (OSM) has reached 100 participating organizations, with the upcoming Release FIVE focusing on 5G use cases, network slicing, and micro-service orchestration. The Technical Steering Committee elected Vanessa Little from VMware as its new chair to guide the project’s maturity and maintain its information models and APIs. Recent interoperability testing at the 3rd ETSI NFV Plugtests validated the SOL005 API implementation and showcased multi-vendor end-to-end NFV scenarios. The community is now preparing for its 6th Plenary and 4th Hackfest in Palo Alto, where participants will explore Release FIVE features through hands-on exercises and remote labs.
