ETSI’s Director General, Mr. Luis Jorge Romero, named one of Global Telecoms Business Power100 for 2014 – ETSI

Global Telecoms Business has named ETSI Director General Luis Jorge Romero to its Power100 list, recognizing his leadership in driving Network Functions Virtualisation and the oneM2M global standards initiative for Machine to Machine Communications and the Internet of Things. Under his direction since 2011, ETSI has expanded its global reach by collaborating with eleven other ICT standards bodies to define specifications for scalable and secure IoT services. Romero is also positioning the organization to play a critical role in the development of future 5G standards through its active participation in both ETSI and 3GPP. To meet industry demands for faster delivery and higher technical quality, he is currently modernizing ETSI’s standardization processes to ensure greater interoperability and efficiency.
