Interoperability of content-rich emergency calling solutions – ETSI

The second NG112 Emergency Communications Plugtests event at ETSI successfully validated interoperability for next-generation emergency services among twenty participating companies. The 2017 scope expanded beyond voice and geo-localization to include content-rich features such as video calling, instant messaging, and file transfers. Participants tested technologies including Advanced Mobile Location and PEMEA to ensure market solutions conform to emerging standards. The event outcomes will guide the further development of NG112 protocols to improve emergency response capabilities across Europe and globally.
