A new €22 million funding call has been launched to accelerate 6G research in AI integration and testbeds, while a dedicated white paper details how 6G technologies are transitioning from concepts to validated eHealth implementations. Key project milestones include the conclusion of the ACROSS zero-touch orchestration framework, the publication of a Wiley book on sustainable 6G by Hexa-X-II, and successful pilot trials for 6G-VERSUS in Portugal and Spain. Additionally, the ecosystem continues to advance through specialized workshops on agentic AI, photonics for sustainable ICT, and the standardization of optical network technologies.
