ETSI Release 3 of F5G Advanced specifications delivers a tenfold increase in bandwidth to 10 Gigabit/s, fiber connection density, and energy efficiency while improving reliability to six nines. The release introduces 17 new use cases spanning residential, enterprise, and vertical industries, supported by an evolved architecture that upgrades to Wi-Fi 7 and 50G-PON technologies. This architecture incorporates a cross-plane computing plane and end-to-end network management to enable Network as a Service and mission-critical private lines. Global operators have begun commercial deployments and demonstrated PoCs for autonomous optical networks and industrial manufacturing applications. Future work in Release 4 aims to further enhance these capabilities to support novel networked services with robust security.
