ETSI Open Source MANO announces Release SIXTEEN, enabling cloud-native orchestration of cloud infrastructure and applications – ETSI

OSM Release SIXTEEN introduces cloud-native operations with a dedicated management cluster and declarative workflows for Continuous Deployment across target clouds. The release adds full lifecycle management for Kubernetes clusters on Azure, AWS, and GCP, enabling creation, scaling, and application deployment via new profile concepts for distributed fleets. Operational capabilities are enhanced with first-class NS config templates, multi-instance deletion support, and improved CNF upgrade options, while security is strengthened through OTP-based password recovery and enhanced audit logs. Installation improvements include K3s as the default Kubernetes distribution, an ingress controller for web services, and the adoption of upstream Helm charts for Prometheus and Grafana to simplify maintenance.
