ETSI launches new standard enabling continuous compliance for dynamic AI systems, aligned with the EU AI Act – ETSI

ETSI has released Technical Specification TS 104 008 to address the need for automated, ongoing conformity assessment of AI systems under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. This specification, known as CABCA, establishes a structured methodology to monitor compliance with quality, safety, security, and governance requirements throughout an AI system’s lifecycle rather than relying on static point-in-time audits. By translating abstract legal obligations into measurable, machine-readable metrics, the standard enables providers and auditors to detect non-conformities in real time as models drift or data changes. The framework supports continuous evidence collection and reporting to ensure high-risk AI systems remain trustworthy, transparent, and compliant post-deployment.
