ETSI launches First Software Development Group – ETSI

OpenSlice is an open-source, service-based Operations Support System designed to deliver Network Slice as a Service (NSaaS) in alignment with specifications from 3GPP, TM Forum, and GSMA. Developed using ETSI Zero touch Service and Network Management principles, the system implements the ETSI NFV data model and APIs to facilitate experimentation and testing of next-generation networks. The initiative unites founding members such as CTTC, Telefónica, and the University of Patras with new partners to advance interoperability and accelerate the time to market for network slicing technologies. This collaborative effort aims to provide early validation of standards and foster seamless integration of network slicing across the telecommunications landscape.
