Erzsébet Fitori to join the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking as its new Executive Director – SNS JU

Erzsébet Fitori has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), effective October 1, bringing nearly two decades of telecommunications experience to the role. She will lead the entity’s mission to secure European industrial leadership in 5G deployment and drive world-class research and standardization for future 6G systems. Fitori, who previously served as Head of EU Affairs at Vodafone Group and Director General of the FTTH Council Europe, will oversee the day-to-day management and legal representation of the JU while working with its Governing Board to complete the setup of the Programme Office. Her appointment aims to accelerate the development of a robust research and innovation roadmap for smart networks and services across Europe.
