The EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025 in Poznań highlighted the SNS JU’s strategic push to align European 6G research with global standardization timelines while avoiding the supply chain fragmentation seen in 5G. Key priorities identified include embedding security, trust, and sovereignty into network design through post-quantum cryptography and zero-trust architectures, alongside a strong focus on sustainability to minimize energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The event emphasized the necessity of international collaboration with the US and Japan to foster open, interoperable solutions and the need to unify national R&I initiatives under a cohesive European vision. With 79 active projects supported by nearly €500 million in EU funding, the ecosystem is shifting from pure performance metrics to value-driven innovation centered on AI, integrated sensing, and societal impact.
