SNS JU shared its first Annual Activity Report (AAR) with the European Institutions – SNS JU

The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) released its first Annual Activity Report highlighting 2023 milestones, including achieving financial autonomy and launching a portfolio of 63 research projects. The organization is advancing Europe’s 6G ambitions through a two-pillar mission that coordinates cross-border 5G deployments while fostering innovation in edge cloud environments and future chip technologies. With over €132 million in Horizon Europe funding allocated to 28 new projects, the SNS JU aims to build a robust European supply chain and address challenges like the Green Deal and cybersecurity. Looking ahead to 2024, the JU is evaluating proposals for its third call and strengthening synergies with the Chips JU and Photonics21 to support the development of integrated 3C networks.
