ETSI announces TeraFlowSDN Release 4 – ETSI

ETSI has announced the fourth release of TeraFlowSDN, a software-defined networking controller that introduces native support for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) to enable secure communication in the quantum era. The release significantly enhances network automation and monitoring by adopting the ETSI ZSM architecture, featuring new KPI Manager, Telemetry, and Analytics components alongside advanced automation capabilities. Additional improvements include comprehensive lifecycle management for optical networks with automatic discovery of multi-granular nodes, and a replacement of the legacy DLT gateway with a Hyperledger Fabric v2.4+ compliant blockchain component. The controller also expands its North Bound Interface to support IETF RFC 8519 for ACL management and integrates with the LF CAMARA Quality on Demand API for QoS profile translation.
